
Agrilife24.com:The Animal Health Companies Association of Bangladesh (AHCAB) has officially announced the 6th AHCAB International Expo 2026, a premier global platform dedicated to accelerating innovation, investment, and sustainable growth in Bangladesh’s animal health, fisheries, and livestock sectors. Centered on the powerful theme “Healthy Animal, Thriving Nation,” the Expo aims to strengthen safe food systems while supporting national economic development.
The announcement was made during a Meet the Press program held on Monday at the National Press Club, Dhaka, where AHCAB leaders shared the vision, objectives, and strategic importance of the three-day international event. The Expo will be held from 8–10 January 2026 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on the Purbachal Express Highway, Dhaka, and is expected to witness strong global participation.
The Inauguration Ceremony will take place on Thursday, 8 January 2026, at 10:00 am at ICCB. The event will be graced by Ms. Farida Akhter, Hon’ble Adviser, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Abu Tahir Muhammad Zaber, Hon’ble Secretary, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, will attend as Special Guest, while Dr. Md Abu Sufiun, Director General, Department of Livestock Services (DLS), will be present as Guest of Honor. AHCAB has warmly invited all stakeholders from the sector to attend and enrich the inauguration ceremony.
With participation from 14 countries, the Expo will feature 128 foreign stalls and 65 international exhibitors, alongside leading local companies and institutions. It will showcase the latest advancements in vaccines, medicines, feed solutions, diagnostics, and animal health technologies, offering valuable insights into global best practices and innovations.
The theme “Healthy Animal, Thriving Nation” underscores the vital link between animal health and national prosperity. Healthy livestock and fisheries ensure safe and nutritious food, generate employment, support rural livelihoods, and contribute significantly to poverty reduction. In addition, improved veterinary care and biosecurity help reduce zoonotic disease risks, protecting public health and the environment while strengthening Bangladesh’s position in regional and global trade.
Key highlights of the Expo include an extensive exhibition showcase, expert-led knowledge-sharing sessions, and robust networking opportunities connecting farmers, veterinarians, aquaculture professionals, agribusiness leaders, investors, policymakers, and regulators across the value chain.
