The 13th International Poultry Show and Seminar will be held February'2025 in Bangladesh

Agrilife24.com: The 13th International Poultry Show and Seminar will be held in Bangladesh at 'Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center' in February 2025. Besides, an international seminar on "Cost, Effective and Sustainable Poultry Production in Bangladesh" will be held in Dhaka from May 18-19’ 2024.

This information was given at the Annual General Meeting of World's Poultry Science Association-Bangladesh Branch (WAPSA-BB) held recently in Dhaka.

WPSA-BB President Moshiur Rahman delivered the welcome speech. He said Bangladesh's poultry industry is moving forward despite many limitations. Hundred percent of the demand for one-day-old chickens, chicken, eggs and feed is now being met through domestic production.

Once upon a time, the focus was on increasing production, but for the last few years, they have been giving importance to the production of safe eggs and chicken meat. "Consumers are now more conscious about food safety. Product quality, food safety standards, sanitation practices, animal welfare are now getting much more priority. Helping the industry to ensure food and feed safety is therefore a big task for WASA-BB Moshiur Rahman added.

General Secretary of the organization Biplob Kumar Pramanik presented the activities and future work plan of the organization in the presence of more than two hundred members. Treasurer Mohammad Fayzur Rahman (Fayez) presented the financial statements for the financial year 2022-23.

Former President of WPSA-BB Shamsul Arefin Khaled, Poultry Farmer Md. Shahinur Rahman, Chief Scientific Officer of BLRI Dr. Md. Sazedul Karim Sarkar, Scientific Officer of the Department of Livestock Services; Dr. Golam Azam, Director of UK Bangla Feed Zahidul Islam were shared various ideas to improve the poultry industry.
The meeting also expressed deep shock at the death Editor-in-Chief of of Poultry Khamar Bichitra. Kamal Ahmed, Managing Director of Axil Ltd Morshed Alam and Professor of Bangladesh Agricultural University Dr. Md. Abdul Kafi.
