A Workshop for Field Vets on Diagnosis of Poultry Diseases Based on Postmortem Findings was held in Dhaka

Agrilife24.com: A Workshop for Field Vets on Diagnosis of Poultry Diseases Based on Postmortem Findings was held Today (15 February) at ASVM seminar room of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in Dhaka. The event was organized by: Davis-Thompson Foundation, USA & World Veterinary Poultry Association-Bangladesh Branch (WVPA-BB).

A total of 30 Veterinarian including Department of Livestock Services, academicians, veterinarians working in poultry industry, veterinary professionals working at field level participated in the workshop.

Head of Infectious Disease Pathogenesis Section of the National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious Diseases/NIH of the United States and Chief Trainer of CPD Training Dr. Dr. Derron A. Alvis, Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Pathology of California Animal Health and Food Safety Lab Dr Javier Asinros provided hands-on training.

Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Dr KBM Saiful Islam, Managing Director of Inter Agro BD Ltd. Dr. A K M Khasruzzaman, Vice President of WVPA Dr. Humayun Arefin, President of The Vet Executive Dr.Bishwajit Roy, organizing Secretary Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin and others were present in the event.

The entire program was conducted by Dr. Md. Nurul Islam Shaown, General Secretary of World Veterinary Poultry Association-Bangladesh Branch (WVPA-BB). The event was sponsored by Inter Agro BD Ltd.

Veterinarians who came to the workshop said that they are gaining new knowledge through such workshops. They believe that such a workshop will enrich their workplace by applying the knowledge acquired successfully at the field level.
