Chief of Army laid the foundation stone of Astha Industrial Park

Agrilife24.com: The Foundation Stone for Astha Industrial Park was laid by General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Hon’ble Chief of Army Staff, Bangladesh Army, on 04th May 2024 at Ladurchar, Sonargaon, Narayanganj. The Astha Industrial Park comprises (03) new ventures: Reliance Feed Industries Ltd, Astha Pack Ltd, and Astha Starch & Chemical Industries Ltd.

Addressing the program, General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed said it's a great initiative to develop these unique projects that will create thousands of new jobs contributing to regional economic development in agro-based industry.

Mosharaf Hossain Chowdhury, Chairman of Astha Feed Industries Ltd, chaired the foundation stone laying ceremony while Managing Director, Md. Gias Uddin Khan delivered the welcome speech.

The ceremony took place in the august presence of Nazrul Islam Babu, Hon’ble Whip, Bangladesh Parliament, Abdullaha Al-kaisar Hasnat MP (Narayanganj 3), Krishibid Dr. Nazrul Islam, Managing Director of Arham Agrovet Ltd., Md. Amin Helaly, Senior Vice President of FBCCI and Mohammad Helal Mia, Chairman of Amanat Shah Group, Saiful Islam Babu, Executive Director of Astha Feed Industries Ltd, Mr. Shalah Uddin, Director of Astha Feed Industries Ltd., and other esteemed dignitaries.

Brief Description of Three New Projects of Astha Industrial Park:

  1. Reliance Feed Industries Ltd.: will be one of the finest factories with cutting-edge technologies that empower our feed mills to enhance quality & innovation. The 96 MT/hour production facilities with our project of Aqua, Poultry, Cattle, Fermentation, and Soya Bean Extraction unit.
  2. Astha Pack Industries Limited: Production capacity of 1,20,000 PP woven bags per day offering one of the most comprehensive ranges of feed, food & FMCG packaging products and services.
  3. Astha Starch & chemical industries: will be one of the modern plants with good manufacturing practices to suit the requirements of agriculture, pharma, textile, chemical, and food & beverage sectors with the production 300 MT maize starch per day for this project.

Moreover, six (6) silos will be made to provide a secure and weatherproof environment to protect our RM/grains from moisture, pests, and any kinds of damages. The capacity will be 10,000 MT per unit having 6 silos with a 60,000 MT storage facility for our project of inventory management.

These projects will be constructed over an area of 36 acres of land. These projects aim to transform the industrial landscape and substantially impact the economic development within our agriculture, pharma, textile, chemical, and food & beverage sectors.
