The Business arranged several field day programs in Mymensingh, Netrokona, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nilphamari, and Gopalganj.
In May 2022, the Sales Team of ACI Seed including Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager and Territory Officers participated in the field day programs. Besides, the DAE and NGO officials along with farmers and traders participated in the events. In the demo fields, the farmers are getting 45-50 kg per decimal on an average. The Business expects to grab a significant market share in the coarse rice area by promoting Bandhu Dhan for the upcoming season.
ACI Seed is working on a very potential coarse rice variety which is registered as ACI Agrolink Hybrid Dhan-2 and will be marketed under the brand name “Bandhu Dhan”. The variety is showing an outstanding result in the farmers’ demo field in this Boro Season. The cultivation period of Bandhu Dhan is August to December. The harvesting period of the variety is 145-150 days. The number of grains per panicle is 230-240 on an average and the average yield is 11 MT per hectare. It is a blast tolerant variety. There is no lodging and shuttering of the variety in adverse climatic conditions.
