Staff correspondent:The Bangladesh Agro Feed Ingredients Importers & Traders Association (BAFIITA), the only national platform representing importers and suppliers of animal feed ingredients for the poultry, fish, and dairy sectors, celebrated its 5th Installation Ceremony in a grand event held a White Hall, Gawsia Twin Peak Dhanmondi.
The ceremony began with recitations from the Holy Quran and the Gita, setting a harmonious tone for the evening. The welcome address was delivered by A.M. Amirul Islam Bhuiyan, President of BAFIITA, followed by a detailed report on BAFIITA’s activities during the 2023–2025 tenure presented by Joyanta Kumar Deb, Secretary General (2023–2025).
The Chairman of the Election Board then officially declared the newly elected Executive Committee for 2025–2027, introducing the new leadership to the members and guests. The formal handover and takeover of the BAFIITA Secretariat took place as A.M. Amirul Islam Bhuiyan transferred responsibilities to the newly elected Sr. vice president Md. Farook.
The newly elected Secretary General, Md. Gias Uddin Khan, delivered his speech, outlining his vision for strengthening the association’s role in supporting Bangladesh’s animal feed industry.
The evening’s Chief Guest, Dr. SK. Shahenur Islam, DD (Animal Health), Department of Livestock Services (DLS) congratulated the new committee and praised BAFIITA’s contribution to ensuring feed quality, industry integrity, and collaboration across sectors.
The event concluded with a closing speech by the newly elected Sr. vice president Md. Farook, who expressed gratitude to all members for their trust and reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to advancing the nation’s feed and livestock industry through innovation, integrity, and partnership.
