Din Mohammed:“Biotechnology will play a key role in addressing global challenges such as food security, climate change, and public health” was saying Prof. Dr. Mustafa Atasever from Ataturk University, Turkey in an online discussion, who is also serving as Editor-in-Chief of Asian-Australasian Journal of Bioscience and Biotechnology.

AAJBB is one of the highly specialized journals of Ebu Press Ltd, published research, review and short communication articles in the interest of bioscience and biotechnology.

“Globally, the research on bioscience and biotechnology is continuously increasing as many governments invest research budget for improving new commodities, services, tools, high yield crops, and many more. But the number of specialized publication venues is limited and that was the primary motivation for launching the journal”, was saying the first Editor-in-Chief of AAJBB, founder of Ebu Press Ltd, Prof. Dr. S. M. Lutful Kabir, a top microbiologist and professor of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh.

The AAJBB was launched in April 2016 and publishes genuine, novel, accurate, and rigorous scientific research works related to bioscience and biotechnology in three issues per year (April, August, and December). Single-blind peer review process, open access to the reader, and a continuous publishing model are the main features of this journal. As of July 2022, this journal maintains a continuous publication model, suggesting as soon as an article is prepared for publication, it will be assigned to an issue online right away rather than waiting for other articles to be completed, allowing for quicker access to the final version.

The journal follows Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) standards for handling and processing any manuscript received for potential publication, which guarantees the best practices in academic publishing ethics.

A good number of international and native biotechnologists and biological field-related scientists having doctorate degrees from recognized universities are involved with the journal as editors. So far, this scientific platform published 202 scientific articles until December 2022.

The editor-in-chief said that the BanglaJOL, Crossref, Google Scholar, and JournalSeek databases indexes this publishing platform. He is also very optimistic about indexing this journal in prestigious Scopus and Web of Science databases within the next few years.

AAJBB has a profile on Sherpa Romeo, a website that compiles and displays open-access policies from publishers and journals around the world. The Crossref metadata that is deposited for each article published in AAJBB is saved in the Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe System.

The journal office provided the information about the citation matrix and found this journal has 352 citations, h-index: 10, and i10-index: 10, which is impressive for a journal that started before seven years.
