Eon high-tech dairy farm and 'Baqarah’ pasteurized milk and dairy production inaugurated

AgriLife24.com: Fisheries and Livestock Minister S.M.Rezaul Karim MP inaugurated the high-tech dairy farm and production of 'Baqarah' pasteurized milk and dairy products at Badarganj in under the district of Rangpur on Saturday (January 9) as the chief guest.

During the inaugartion ceremony S.M. Rezaul Karim MP said, "In order to develop the country, government management as well as the private sector must be taken forward. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, has given opportunity to establish many industries in public-private partnership." Incentives have been provided. We have taken various steps, including providing incentives and cash assistance to grassroots farmers in the fisheries and livestock sectors so that they do not fall into danger.

Chairman & CEO of Eon Group of Industries Mr.Momin Ud Dowlah presided over the function while Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Mr. Rawnak Mahmud and Director General of the Department of Livestock Service Dr, Abdul Jabbar Sikder were present as special guests.  Director General Department of Fisheries Kazi Shams Afroz, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Shah  Md.Imdadul  Haque, Director of DLS (Admin &Animal Health) Dr. Sheikh Azizur Rahman, Deputy Director of Rangpur District Administration (Local Government) Syed Farhad Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police of Rangpur Md. Mehedi Hasan and officials of Fisheries and Livestock Department of Rangpur Division were present on the occasion.

The Minister further said, "A large portion of the food is supplied by the Fisheries and Livestock Sector affiliated to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. We welcome the initiative of the Eon Group in this sector and will provide all possible assistance. The food problem has been solved with the initiative of the ministry. Similarly, we have provided as many facilities as needed for export and import.



Those involved in the fisheries and livestock sector did not have to fall into extreme distress. Even withholding tax has been waived for industrialists in this sector. This is an excellent example for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to take this sector forward."

Speaking as the chief guest, the minister said, "There will be all support from the government for those who will work in the fisheries and livestock sector with initiatives like the Eon Group.  Addressing government officials, the minister said if there is any cooperation in the private sector, do not show them the red tape.  We have to help them at any cost so that they do not turn away from this sector. Standing by the side of the private sector means standing by the development of Bangladesh. To stand by the goal of Sheikh Hasina.  That is the responsibility of all of us.

Later, the Minister exchanged views with the departmental and district level officials of the Livestock and Fisheries Department working in Rangpur Division and gave various directions.
